Our spring production, Hangmen, written by Martin McDonagh, will be coming to our stage from the 5th to 9th April.
It’s SO good to be staging this fabulous play AT LAST! We were about two weeks away from the opening of Hangmen in 2020 when the COVID lockdown hit. After a few enforced Directorial and Cast changes, we are finally back in rehearsals and looking forward to bringing you this gripping, funny and dramatically tense, dark comedy.

Laugh out loud moments, mixed with dark edged horror and reality that plunges the depth of human nature are all on show in this riveting play.
Set in the 60’s in his small pub in the northern town of Oldham, Harry is something of a local celebrity. But what is the second-best hangman in England to do on the day they’ve abolished hanging? Amongst the reporters and pub regulars dying to hear Harry’s reaction to the news, his old assistant Syd and the sinister Mooney lurk with very different motives for their visit.
When Harry’s daughter goes missing, he begins to suspect Mooney, the brash young visitor from London.
It would be criminal to say more…
